Brandon Mull won me over completely with the Fablehaven series. I'm really hoping to see more from that group. Then along came The Beyonders and I was even more taken. So when I saw this free preview of 10 chapters, of course I got it, and knew that I would buy the book, because Mr. Mull never fails to bring out a good story. Not only does he create believable alternate dimensions, he creates the "real world" characters who go there with a finesse that is also believable. Definitely read the 10 free chapters, but know that you'll want the whole book.

My kids love all of Brandon Mull's books and this one was no different. They are excited to finish the rest of the series! We LOVE Brandon Mull-- such an awesome guy and has awesome book release events.
Fascinating SyFy. Not normally my cup of tea, but I try to read with an open mind. It was easy reading and I liked the concept. I would recommend this to people with a good imagination. Young folks would be a group to appreciate it. I'm an oldie (73) but it was easy to visualize.
This book was at times exceedingly distressful however the book does the reader into a brilliantly imagined world. It definitely threw me for a loop, which is nice for a change. I'm curious to read the rest.

I regret reading this. Now I'm inclined to buy all of Mull's g*sh d*rn books. In all seriousness, though, it was surprisingly entertaining.
I love Brandon Mull books! This series of books is actually for the younger reader, but I'm "older" and still really enjoy his reads! I can't wait for the next book "Rogue Knight" of this series. I'll be anxiously awaiting in November for it to be released! I would recommend all Brandon Mull books to every reader! But especially the young at heart readers!
Loved the preview, can't wait to read the whole thing when I've got time. Brandon Mull is a genius, and makes me feel like a fool for even contemplating writing my own book. His command of descriptive language, character development, humor, action, and plot are just...just....dangit, man. He's a master. What I haven't read of his, I will. He's a genius.
I tried the sample only and couldn't get into it. I can't really tell if it gets better but up to the point I was at I didn't really care for it. I would tell anyone who reads this review to give it a try for yourself. Everyone has different tastes in books, music, etc. Don't judge it by my comments. Download the sample and give it a go.
