Frankly I was disappointed with this book. I read motorcycle travel books for a hobby, unfortunately they don't get written everyday so I just read whatever I find. This book tells you very little about the guys that ride on the trip, so it's not very personal. It's a two week trip across America following the old Route 66, the group stop at hotels and you get a description of the hotel then a googled description of the town they are in. Being a big group there is little interaction with people en route; one of the points of motorcycle travel surely is to meet people.

OK its $2.99 and that is about right. Read if you've nothing else to do.

Well written and a pleasure to share this journey. You feel like you are there sharing in the discovery of so many places. The historical facts and trivia shared were informative and fun to learn.
Six guys from the UK that haven't ridden bikes in years fly over here,rent Harleys and ride I-40 from coast to coast. You can't see America from the express lane. The author had a preconceived notion that the U.S. was full of hillbillys and "rednecks in 4x4 trucks" so that ended up being all he seen. Maybe he should have returned his rented bike and rented a boat and rowed his happy a$$ back to England. Save your money,there is nothing to read here.
Liked it. As a rider I can relate to many of the scenarios. Would have loved to be with them!

I enjoyed this book. Found it well written and easy to read. Not too sure why others have written 'snarky' comments to be honest.

It's a book from one guy who rode (with friends) across Route 66 and his experiences, thoughts and opinions.

It's not bogged down in detailed facts about places they visit, but enough to make interesting.

Did I enjoy reading it? Yes
Would I recommend it? Yes.
