I am a big fan of Bianca D’Arc’s reads and I started with her Brotherhood of Blood, went onto her Tales of the Were, Redstone Clan and now String of Fate. I’m so glad I started her reads the way I did. By doing so I didn’t miss a beat. I love the way she pulls these reads together ever so discreetly. The mention/involvement of previous characters, the one tie they all have regarding the Venifucus and keeping her disciples at bay and destroying any effort of resurrecting her. If you are new to Bianca D’Arc a good place to start if you want the full impact of her reads is Brotherhood of Blood. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
King’s Throne is a continuation of Cat’s Cradle (great read by the way). When Mitch is severely beaten and poisoned. Gina’s friend Ellie calls for her help. Ellie being a nurse knew her limitations and knew she needed a doctor. It’s here that Gina’s secrets are revealed. She is a “Tigre Blanche exiled Princess”. King’s Throne picks up where Gina is heading back to her parents stronghold with Mitch in tow. She’s taking a chance bringing someone to her family’s safe haven but she has no choice. Here blood is very special and can heal shifter and human alike, but when she gave Mitch her blood then a special elixir the reaction was bad. She needed to get Mitch as well as herself to someplace safe where he could begin to heal. Several days in Mitch was barely coming along even after Gina gave more of her blood. When finally his body was able to push the poison out and his body started to heal he felt different. Something was different and it wasn’t until he and Gina shifted that he got the shock of his life. No longer the golden tiger but instead a tigre’ blanche. Mitch’s destiny and life will be changed forever.
I got the chills in several parts of this read. One where Frederick (exiled Tig’ Ra) Candis (Tig’ Ren), Gina and Mitch where are the sacred circle and a shaft of bright sun broke through a cloud focusing on him was actually magic sent by the Goddess. The way this scene is described and plays out is amazing. The other was during the battle/challenge with Gisli (Frederick’s brother) and how the Grim empowered Mitch. OMG is all I can say. The other was on the Grim when Frederick and Mitch went to return the piece of young Fridrik’s pelt that was stolen. When young Fridrik appeared and what he said brought tears to my eyes.
A fabulous read of love, loyalty and honor. Ying/Yang, good vs evil and good does prevail.
Oh and the Epilogue OMG the Epilogue with Ria Nyx of Pantera noir and the tall dark and delicious man who asks her to dance. When she introduced herself to him his reply was I know, “I’m Ellie’s brother, Jacob. I’ve been seeing you in my dreams for months now, lovely Ria. I so can’t wait for this next book god I hope it releases soon. Bianca Grand Slam again in my book!!!!!

Wow, this is a fast paced thrill ride. Gina and Mitch have so many twists and revelations to their love story it is hard to keep up at times. I love how each piece of the puzzle is revealed in a different way. And the way the Goddess and the volcano Grim both have such pivotal roles is awesome. This series is wonderful and I love seeing some of the characters from other books Bianca has written. Now to start the next one;)
So the first half of this book was great. However, that's all I've got for good things to say. The sex was skimmed over, the plot became less of a first person narrative and more of an overview of what happened after the fight. It was just very impersonal and flat. Mitch was hot, Gina was great and then the balloon burst and pop - end of interesting (and might I add, too expensive for the number of pages)story. It felt rushed and could have been fleshed out a lot more. Sad.
If you are gonna have a were series, I suggest you read Bianca' s books. Everything is intertwined, and this is only book two! Fantastic! All her series books are complemented in each other, the only storyline I have yet to read is her outer space books. Which by the way gets a line in this book, bringing all her characters together for Gina and Mitch' s wedding was the best planning on the author's part. I feel this author, is top Five in my book, and I highly recommend giving her a try. If these were paperback books I would need to have them replaced by now....
I liked the premise of the book and was looking forward to reading this. Mitch was supposed to be this strong Alpha but throughout the book he was uncertain in his thoughts and actions. Mitch had the college degrees, combat training and skills and was an Alpha Guard. I think the author had a good outline but the characters contradicted their description. This is my first time reading this author and I am willing to try another one of her books. Hopefully I will enjoy it more.
Gina is a doctor whose life is turned upside down when a tiger shifter who is injured ends up on her door step. Gina had to reveal her secret past in order to save Mitch, the tiger shifter. She takes Mitch to her parents secret compound where she helps him recover from the poisoning he was suffering from. During the recovery time some major changes happen for Mitch. He has to decide if he can accept his new role in the tiger shifters pack or if he will remain stuck in his old way of thinking. Can he open up himself to accepting Gina as his mate and his new role? I always love a good shifter story and this one had both action and romance.
This book has surprises on it. Mitch is from the first book along with Gina.. of course the 3rd book will have everyone in it too.. Mitch was poisoned in the first book and Gina who was a dr was trying to save his life when they had to run and hide. She is the long lost prince 👑 who has been in hiding forever. In this one she heals him but she also figures out she is his mate. And he learns lots of stuff about himself worth buying..
This World is part of a very large group of stories that you don't have to read all of but it makes so much more sense if you do. If this is the first book by Bianca D'Arc you are picking up you are in for a treat but think about picking up "String of Fate" Book 1 first. This book does an amazing job of transporting you to a different place and I personally get super involved with the characters so I keep picking up each new story!
